At the Five Percent Foundation, we use a new model of philanthropy to support global humanitarian causes striving to make the world a better place for all.
Like some of the best ideas, the Five Percent Foundation started with a simple conversation between friends. From there, we became a registered not-for-profit in 2019, and welcomed 13 initial co-pledgers on board. We come from a range of professional backgrounds: law, finance and business, marketing and journalism, tourism, hospitality, urban design and clinical neuropsychology (Between us all, we’re never short on conversation topics!)
What we have in common is a drive to give back and create meaningful, positive change where it matters.
We take an intersectional approach to philanthropy and the issues we currently face, and support diverse charities working on compelling problems such as preventing preventable deaths from malaria and unsafe water, creating economic empowerment opportunities to bring people out of extreme poverty, and more.
We’re committed to doing good, and there’s a long way to go. If you’re here, odds are that you feel the same way.
